How can we streamline manufacturing workflows?
The customer faced the challenge of increasing efficiency and standardization in the execution of manufacturing tasks. They needed a system which could digitize manufacturing processes, streamline production engineering activity, and support different roles and tasks. The product should be easy and intuitive to use.
The goal was to establish a digital foundation that could transform how production tasks were planned, executed, and documented. This should help in ensuring consistency, traceability, and compliance across all manufacturing activities. The customer aimed to reduce manual workload, minimize errors, and enable smoother collaboration between engineering and shop-floor teams.

The Solution
Asset Manufacturing Executing System (AMES)
Empact collaborated with the customer to expand our solution AMMS to also support the assembling process. Together, we created Asset Manufacturing Executing System (AMES), a digital system designed to make manufacturing workflows more efficient, transparent, and people-centric. The platform provides templating functionality for work instructions, asset models, and job plans, allowing production teams to assemble detailed process steps quickly.
AMES integrates seamlessly with existing ERP and PLM systems, giving operators immediate access to all required information. The system ensures that every asset is documented with accurate serial numbers in the bill of materials (BOM), enabling traceability and supporting future maintenance activities. AMES combines workflow logic, structured documentation, and user-focused design in order to streamline the manufacturing process, while maintaining compliance with production standards.
