Frequently asked questions

Here are answers to the questions we hear most often about AMMS, from integration and deployment to day-to-day use.

What is AMMS and who is it for?
AMMS is an Asset Maintenance Management System that unifies asset configuration, maintenance execution, inventory and support equipment, reporting, and training. OEMs use AMMS to support operator MRO programs at scale, with flexible cloud or on‑prem deployment. For instance, it is in production use in North America on commercial helicopter fleets with FAA compliance validated by a US prime partner.
Can AMMS integrate with our existing ERP or logistics system?

Yes. AMMS offers flexible APIs and integration options to fit existing environments.

How does AMMS support line and base maintenance, including disconnected operations?
AMMS supports both base/depot and line/out‑station environments with consistent workflows. A Windows desktop local installer enables deployed/disconnected operations via a client–server sync with an on‑prem or cloud AMMS server.
Disconnected capabilities include tasks and discrepancies sign off, creation of new tasks and discrepancies, asset usage recording, asset configuration update, and asset status change. All the asset data recorded during disconnected operations will be synched when reconnected.
How are parts, tools, and support equipment managed during on‑aircraft jobs?
The inventory module enables part requisitions from within a task, notifies inventory when a part is requested, supports allocation of serialized parts, and confirms allocation back to the mechanic so work can proceed; smaller organizations can allocate parts at task level when permitted. AMMS also manages support equipment lifecycle, including check‑in/check‑out and calibration/recertification tracking
What maintenance execution and quality workflows are included out of the box?
AMMS supports acknowledgement of new maintenance tasks, approval/rejection of reported discrepancies, double‑signature (RII) on task sign‑off, and full sign‑off with virtual PIN and time‑stamped audit trails for all create/edit/sign-off actions. The same business logic applies across desktop and iPad applications during mobile operations to keep execution consistent in the field and hangar
What analytics and reporting are available for OEM programs and operator support?
A configurable dashboard provides real‑time visibility into work status (open, in progress, on hold, overdue), asset availability, approvals, and assignment gaps. The Reporting module includes predefined reports and lets users build custom reports from system datasets, with outputs exportable to PDF for internal and customer communication
