Does Empact Connect replace our existing systems?

No. Empact Connect integrates with your existing systems and enables secure data flow between them. It does not replace ERP, maintenance, or analytics platforms.

Who owns the data?

You do. Empact Connect does not access, interpret, or own any data. All data ownership and control remain with your organization.

Can we control what data is shared?

Yes. You define what data is collected, which systems receive it, and who has access at all times.

Can it be deployed in secure environments?

Yes. Empact Connect is designed for secure environments and can be deployed according to your infrastructure and security requirements.

What is the difference between the Adaptor and the Node?

The Adaptor connects directly to the asset and is responsible for pulling, translating, and packaging data. It is asset-specific and can be fully owned and controlled by you, we will provide the specifications and guidance needed to build them. Adaptors can be developed internally, or alternatively by OEMs, or by Empact.

The Empact Connect Node is standardized and handles the secure transport of data to predefined systems. Like a postman, it delivers data to the right destination, quickly and securely, without ever opening or interpreting what’s inside.

Can Adaptors be developed without sharing sensitive information with Empact?

Yes. OEMs, armed forces or third parties of your choice can build their own Adaptors using their asset interfaces. This allows full deployment without exposing sensitive technical data to Empact.

What types of assets can Empact Connect work with?
Empact Connect is asset-agnostic and can work with a wide range of equipment, including vehicles, vessels, radar systems, sensors, and weapon systems. 
What types of data can be collected?

Both structured and raw data can be transported:

  • Structured data (e.g. usage, cycles, error codes) to ERP systems
  • Raw data (e.g. sensor streams) to analytics and predictive systems
